Blake is 4 Months!

Here are a few updates on the little boog.

-He rolled over for the first time (back to tummy) on his four month birthday 7.19.09 and then rolled over from tummy to back on 7.21.09.
-His first real laugh was on 7.12.09
-He loves to watch his big sister play
-He has traded in his solid 12 hours of sleep a night for an 8 hour stretch, a quick feeding and then about 3 more hours.
-He reminds me of a poem my mom used to recite because "when he is good, he is very, very good, but when he is bad, he is HORRID!"
-He doesn't fall asleep easily in the car
-He loves to be sitting up/held and be able to see all the action
-Loves his Johnny Jump Up
-He is still wearing 0-3 months clothes, except for pajamas.
-He loves to suck on EVERYTHING and always has something in his mouth; hands, toys, burp cloths/blankets, pacifier, etc!
-Has the sweetest little smile that melts our hearts!

You Know You're A Redneck When...

Your neighbor paints their own house and when they are finished it looks like this:

If you can't read the writing, it says "Ain't Gonna Need This House No LONER" That's right, they couldn't even spell longer correctly! And yes, this is my next door neighbors house! We were busting up laughing about it for a while, then I realized maybe I should be worried about her, so I went over to make sure she was ok. Come to find out, it is the lyrics to some song, and she painted it on there because she is getting old and her "real house is waiting for her in heaven". Gotta love Oklahoma!

Like Father, Like Son

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!

Jay and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on the 22nd. Not much you can do with two kids and no income, but we still had a great day! He got me a yummy cake and flowers, I got him some jerky and a copy of the RollingStone magazine all about MJ. I had planned on making this

for him for our anniversary, but he ended up helping me! I love this idea, my sister Mollie made one for her husband for V-day. It is currently hanging above our bed! Happy Anniversary my love! Thanks for 4 amazing years!

America The Beautiful

We spent our Fourth of July in Arizona with Jason's brother Rob and his family. We had a blast as we always do when we go to visit them. And good news, Jason and I still hold the title of Password Champs! While we were there we spent some time at Stephanie's Parent's house in the pool and eating fabulous food, she has an amazing family who are always so warm and welcoming! We also made a cute craft (well the girls did). On the 4th we went to Rawhide theme park, and panned for gold, saw a "real" gun show and watched fireworks.

Ol' prospector Kate-

The fireworks begin-

Thanks Rob and Steph for another fun 4th!

The Magic Kingdom!

Disneyland has always been and will always be the happiest place on earth for me! I can not express to you how much I love the place! I could seriously just go there and walk around and be happy! There is just such an exciting energy going around there, my heart starts beating faster just thinking about it! We enjoyed three solid days there, and I still could have handled more! We went with the kids during the day and then Jason and I went back alone at night, leaving our sleeping babies with Dean and Diane! Our first day we were joined by Uncle Rob and his family, Uncle Chris and his sweet girlfriend, who by the way has a fabulous name...Megan Elizabeth, Dean and Diane. The next time it was just us with Dean and Diane, and the third day, it was down to us with Diane, but we had a blast every single time.

Favorite ride(s)
*Mine has always been (and will always be) Splash Mountain. Super cute ride and fun! Coming in at a close second...Soaring Over California in California Adventure, feels so real!
*Kate had three...the tram, believe it or not, the merry-go-round(come on, we had to go to disneyland to figure that one out) and for sure her very favorite was DUMBO! She adores the movie, so it's only natural for her to love the ride
*Jason's, Space Mountain
*Blake's, Small World and the Bjorn.

We also got to meet Minnie, but I still need to get the picture from Diane.

Cute show at California Adventure with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Tigger and Pooh and Little Einsteins, Kate was entranced!

Blake on Small World-

Ahhh...It really is the happiest place on earth,

well maybe not for Ethan...

Fun at "Shramma and Poppy's"

We had a blast staying with Dean and Diane! I'm so lucky to have such great in-laws! Unfortunately, we were having such a great time, I was too busy to document it in pictures, but here is some of what I did get!

Movie and popcorn with Leah and "Rynee"-

Quite possibly Kate's favorite spot to be at Grandma and Grandpa's house-

Learning about the animals "manils" with Shramma-

Helping Grandma cut up the watermelon-

Kate fell in love with the hose-

And Blake got his first hair cut June 29th

Picture Day With Grandma T

While we were in California, my Aunt Kathy hired a professional photographer to shot my Grammy with all of her family that could be there. It was a really neat day, one I'm sure none of us will forget. Here are some shots from my camera and my sisters.

Four Generations-

My stunningly beautiful Grammy-

Blake's Blessing Day!

We were lucky enough to be able to bless Blake in Jason's home ward. It was a really neat experience for Jason to be able to bless his son in the same chapel and ward where he grew up. I was a basket case all morning, having anxiety about Blake crying through the whole blessing, or having his diaper leak through his white suit, but to my surprise all went well! Jason gave a beautiful blessing and I was told by someone who stood in the circle that Blake kept his eyes locked on Jason the entire time. The men in who stood in on the blessing: Grandpa Dean, Grandpa Brown, Uncle Rob, Uncle Chris, Uncle Mark, Uncle Karlin, Bishop Johnson and a long time family friend-Aaron Pratt.

The whole bunch:

Mr. Blake in his tux, that sorta looked like a football uniform!

I am so grateful for the priesthood and for all the wonderful men in our family who are worthy priesthood holders.

A HUGE thanks to all of you who made the special trip out for this and to Dean and Diane for opening their house to everyone. You all made the day really special for us!

California Vacation!

Hooray! Jason has finished his second year of dental school. He's halfway there and we couldn't be more proud of him. To celebrate his hard work, we took a month this summer to go to California and visit family!

Our trip started out at the beach! My sister, Mollie, did some research and found an awesome spot. We went to some tide pools in Little Corona and then off to the main beach of Corona Del Mar. It was absolutely gorgeous. We spent the day with my parents, my brother Mark, my sister Mollie and her family and my extended family on my Mom's side. I was busy with a little bub most of the day, so I didn't take many pictures, bummer, so here are some I stole from my sister!

Hike down to the tide pools:

Uncle Karlin and Krewser mingling with the locals:

Driving down the street that Little Corona was off of was like driving through a dream, each and every beach house was a vision!

Kate loved the water...if she was being held, so she spent a lot of time rolling around and digging in the sand

Blake with Grandma:

Can you believe I was at the beach all day and didn't get a single shot of the water???
